Following a conference, Hanover police inspector Char-lotte Lindholm shares a taxi with her colleagues Klaus Borowski and Sören Affeld. But Rainald, the taxi driver, doesn't really want to drive guests from here to there. After his stint in Afghanistan, the former elite soldier wants revenge on his ex-girlfriend before her marriage to one of his comrades takes place. This is the main reason why he is on his way to Leipzig. Trouble brews in the taxi and Rainald hits the over-zealous Affeld and kills him. He then takes Lindholm and Borowski as hos-tages. A murderous trip towards the East begins …
