Taking on a case on the island of Suunholt comes in handy for Inspector Klaus Borowski, after his last solo effort resulted in an internal investigation and a transfer request from his colleague, Sarah Brandt. On the small, sleepy North Sea island, Borowski has the chance to get away from the hassle at the station and plunges himself into the current investigative work: Oliver Teuber was found murdered by his lover, Famke Oejen in their bathroom. The victim is by no means an unknown entity in Kiel's State Criminal Police HQ, as Teuber had once been a key figure in a corruption scandal within Kiel's building authority. Famke, close to panic, is convinced that the perpetrator has hidden somewhere on Suunholt and Borowski feels obliged to scrutinise the island a little closer…
