The Jewish family Glickstein is preparing to celebrate their grandfather's birthday, when the day's importance seeps into the party and all conversations turn towards the political situation. And then there is that rift in the family: Daughter Leah wants to immigrate to Palestine, immediately if possible, whereas son Michael would rather watch the Nazi's torch parade.
