The fantastic colours arrive with the cold weather. After the first frost, the forests on the coast of the US Northeast, transform into a wildly-coloured sea of leaves and gradually blend in with the wild dune landscape. Maine, with its countless off shore islands is the state of life's survivors and bon vivants: Julie Eaton is a lobster fisherwoman. The Federal State of Maine has issued hun-dreds of Lobster licences, but just 4% of them are held by women. Autumn and winter are doubtless the hardest months on the remote islands off the coast of Maine. But post boats, such as the Sea Queen supply the inhabitants all year round with goods of all kinds. However, boatsman Joe Flores is increasingly feeling the strain, now that the islanders are ever more busy ordering articles online as if their lives depended on it.
