The Tepuis, the table mountains of Venezuela, rise like mighty cathe-drals from the midst of the humid jungle. A film team from the NDR makes its way across raging torrents, dusty trails and in narrow planes through Venezuela's south. It takes the members of the expedition 42 days to reach the spectacular table mountains in Guiana's highlands. In doing so, they meet with countless, unusual people and the journey itself is one full of adventure.
