Diagnosis: Heartache. Nora has been hit harder by the divorce from her ex Peer than she would like to admit. In need of distraction, she dives into work - which is not without its challenges. Kite-surfer Ben Kralmann, who Nora had saved as an emergency medic, does not seem to be too happy to have survived. His friend Matti turns to Nora for help, as something is clearly wrong with Ben, who even wants to sell his beloved surfing school. When he is diagnosed with a life-threatening aneurysm in the brain, he refuses the operation. So, what is really behind Ben's strange reactions? Kai, Nora's son, also has to deal with some issues. He was about to take the prestigious trainee position in Canada but all of a sudden, Mandy wants to stay on the island. She even insists that Kai move to Canada by himself. But as tempting as the offer is, Kai still worries about leaving Mandy and the baby all alone. Even more so when Jan Claasen, the biological father to Mandy's child, is back in town. In the end, this whole unresolved family situation keeps Nora so preoccupied that she does not demand a patient with thrombosis to immediately admitted to the hospital.
