The city of Bremen Police have their hands full when a baby is kidnapped from a local clinic. As a matter of fact, so many feel involved in the case that there is no one available to investigate the story of a young man who had plummeted to his own death. Like it or not, Mads Andersen, who was actually on his way to Denmark and new colleague, Liv Moormann, are obliged to cover the investigations, albeit with assistance from Federal Criminal Police Officer, Linda Selb. At the scene of the crime they discover that the deceased has several stab wounds, meaning that they have here a victim of murder. There is no shortage of suspects as the drug dealer was connected to several dubious entities. The most prominent of these is Rudi Stiehler, the former footballer, whose odd behaviour catches Officer Moorman's eye.
