Detective Inspector Nick Tschiller and his colleague Yalcin Gumer pile pressure on the Kurdish Astab clan, which is involved in a bloody feud against the Bursum clan, determined to transfer power within Hamburg’s underworld. Although Firat Astan, who was investigated by the unlikely pair on their first case, is in prison, he issues a death contract on Nick’s head. When Nick drives his former wife Isabella to the airport, both of them almost fall victim to an assassination attempt. Nick draws the appropriate conclusions and insists that his daughter Lenny moves back to her mothers. For his own protection, Yalcin leaves his colleague for dead, but Nick turns up arbitrarily in prison to warn Firat Aslan of further attacks. When Nick discovers that the clan wants to get into the drug business and that a huge delivery of crystal meth is on its way to Hamburg, war breaks out between the gangsters. Nick calls in drug specialist Enno Kromer of the Federal Criminal Investigation Office for help.
